The site's been offline for a while - sorry about that - but now it's back! Back! BACK! All of the previously-posted mp3s are accessible again, and I've popped a section up for "Other Projects" which includes the Breakfasters Election songs from 2007 and the recordings for Interrobang Cartel, if you're interested. I might finally put the KEATING! lyrics and demo mp3s up shortly, too - seems about time. If there's anything else you'd like to see, give us a yodel... |

Thanks to all of those dancin' punters who came along to boogie with the Drowsies on their five-night stand in Adelaide. By gum, lo and verily, though by Sunday we (most particularly I) were stumblers in the dark church of funky fun, yet still we enjoyed gettin' down with each and every one of you.

It's confirmed: The Drowsy Drivers, dormant since their last performance of KEATING! in late September 2006, will return to Adelaide for a one-week stint as the house band at the Festival Club of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. There will be quizzes, fizzes and quantabulous whizzes, strange covers and perhaps the first loosely-stapled-together set of odds'n'ends Drowsies originals played since Northcote Country Soul (in 2002) pretended to be anything other than a loosely-stapled-together set of odds'n'ends Drowsies originals.
The week in question is that of June 13-17, 2007. More details as they come to hand!

MELBOURNE, May 6 - Several joke announcements about lineup changes later, lo and behold, we have a real one. Kevin McFerran has resigned from his position as "drum chair" of the Drowsy Drivers. Kev's work with the Drowsies has been wonderful and he will be missed.
His replacement is yet to be named - stay tuned, y'all!

MELBOURNE, September 26 - Following the recruitment of Dante Pozzebon
to the role of Drowsy Drivers keyboardist, talent scouts have uncovered
another prodigy: one-day-old Imogen McFerran will now join the popular
troupe for live performances. Surprisingly, she will not supplant
father Kevin on drums - apparently, that role is earmarked for son Liam
McFerran, who has been trained for it since conception - but will
instead replace Cam Rogers on bass.
